With more than 30 years of experience, Mr. deRegt’s career has focused on strategic real estate investment capitalization, single-family land and home development, and in-fill, medium-to-high density mixed-use and multi-family developments.
Mr. deRegt founded deRegt Development, Inc. in 1989 which entered into diversified partnerships, each with a core focus, with prominent institutional investors and advisors including Institutional Housing Partners, Prudential Investors, BlackRock, Fidelity, Wells Fargo Advisors, and Farallon Capital Management and other private equity investors. deRegt Development, Inc. joined with two development partners to form New Cities Development Group (NCDG) with a primary focus in single family master planned community development in California, Nevada, and Colorado developing small lot subdivisions to 1,500+ unit master planned communities grossing more than $500 million of revenue from single family home sales. NCDG also developed the Pasadera Country Club, a Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course residential community in Monterey, CA.
From 2000-2008, Mr. dRegt founded BayRock Residential, LLC which executed on construction of over 2,000 garden style and walk-up rental residential units and wood-frame over podium, steel-frame and high-rise for-sale residential condominiums.
In 2003, Mr. deRegt founded Valley Community Homes (VCH) as a Monterey County based homebuilder. VCH entitled, developed and continues to build homes at an 853 lot subdivision in Salinas, CA which includes a park and school component.
Prior to 1989, Mr. deRegt held various investment and underwriting positions with subsidiaries of Security Pacific Corporation and Weyerhaeuser Corporation. Mr. deRegt holds a B.S. in Business Administration from California State University at San Luis Obispo as well as undergraduate studies in the School of Architecture and Engineering.
